Printmaking/Mixed Media: Susan Webster

August 4-9

Printmaking Plus –This workshop will offer a range of monotype and mono-print processes all of which don’t require a press. We will learn to make permanent gelatin and glycerin plates as well as use commercial synthetic printing plates. Printing techniques such as painting directly on the plate, using subtractive and additive methods, and applying stencils will be taught. Other printing techniques will include simple relief, direct stencil, and trace monotypes. Focus will be on experimentation. Opportunities to cut, draw, and paint back into your prints as well as combine the printing methods to create one of a kind pieces will be encouraged.  Inks are water based.  All levels welcome.
