Packbasket Weaving with Pat Huckins
Thursday, February 5th & 12th, 10 am – 3 pm
Intermediate basket weaving class; learn to weave an apple packbasket in two classes. Must have some experience weaving.
Come advance your weaving skills with this apple packbasket weaving class! You will be learning how to weave a decorative base with wooden feet, weave a shoulder, shape a “belly”, and add a double-woven top with a half-round reed. You will also be adding a harness to your basket at the end.
Weaving is a great way to relax and make new friends. Plus, it feels great to have a finished basket at the end of the class!
Bio:
Hi, I’m Pat of Lupin Lady Baskets. I started taking basket-weaving classes in Hallowell, Maine, while working in that area. It was a great way to meet new people and learn something new. Basket-weaving has been an important part of my life for over 25 years, and I have made many friends along the way. My nephew Levi and I weave together, and it’s so fun for both of us!
