Fall exhibit curated and produced by the Dexter Historical Society features black and white photographs from the early 1900’s paired with the writings of Henry David Thoreau.

‘Artists of the Forest’ opens May 15, featuring the work of six artists and craftsmen from Maine’s Northern Forest who work with one of the region’s most abundant resources- wood.
The first exhibit of 2019 at the Monson Arts Gallery celebrates the work of art teachers from community schools in Piscataquis County and the greater region. ‘Art All Around Us’ will be on display until May 9. Gallery hours are Thursday – Sunday, 10-4
Monson Arts announced that it will partner with the Rhode Island School of Design to support two month-long design residencies for RISD graduates this summer at its facility in Monson.
Our one-week intensive summer workshops provide an ideal environment to focus on learning and studio work. Register online for one of eight workshop offerings in 2019.

A new workshop offered over Labor Day weekend is now open for enrollment. This three-day intensive will explore new ways of defining and creating immersive storytelling through technology, events, editing, sound design, and reporting techniques.
