Our high school students did incredible work at Monson Arts during the 2024/25 school year. Six participating high schools in the area have students in our high school visual arts and writing program. Students come to Monson Arts two times a month to spend a day concentrating on their craft. The visual artists work in a studio setting with renowned painter Alan Bray, leading their creative time, and our writers get to work with Dawn Potter, an award-winning poet and essayist.
The culmination of their year ends with a gallery show of both visual arts and writings. Their work will be displayed at the Monson Arts Gallery from May 9 until June 2. This year’s exhibition is To Gather In Fragments. Join us for a reception on May 9 from 5 to 7.

Monson Arts is a new artists’ residency and arts center in Monson, Maine. Programs include residencies for artists and writers, intensive shorter workshops, and educational partnerships with area secondary schools.
