Immersive Audio Workshop, September 2-5

A new workshop offered over Labor Day weekend is now open for enrollment. This three-day intensive will explore new ways of defining and creating immersive storytelling through technology, events, editing, sound design, and reporting techniques.

Workshop Registration

Enrollment in each workshop is handled on a first-come, first-served basis. A deposit payment of $250 is required at the time of registration with full payment for all summer workshops due by May 15 (extended date). If a workshop is full you can contact our office to be placed on the waitlist free of charge. If space becomes available we will let you know. All workshops begin on a Sunday afternoon and conclude on Saturday morning.

Anyone participating in a Monson Arts workshop in 2022 will be required to show proof that they are up to date with COVID19 vaccinations before the start of their workshop session.

Fees

The cost of participating in a workshop includes tuition, room & board, and materials fees. We offer on-campus housing in a private (single) or double (shared with one other person) room. Room availability is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you do not need housing, you may register as a day student at a reduced rate. Whether staying on campus or off, all meals are included and prepared for workshop participants by the Quarry restaurant. Fees for materials and supplies will vary for each studio and can range from $25-$100.

Accommodations

Housing is in new or recently refurbished houses located within walking distance of studios and workshops. Single or double occupancy bedrooms are provided in shared housing with occupancy limited to keep all guests safe and comfortable. Protocols for cleaning, distancing, and face coverings have been established throughout all common areas of Monson Arts’ facilities in accordance with current CDC guidelines. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished with twin beds. Linens and towels are provided although when possible, guests are encouraged to bring their own towels, bedding and pillows.

Cancellation Policy

We understand the difficulties of planning to participate in a workshop program during the pandemic and have adjusted our cancellation policy to allow for maximum flexibility. If at any point you need to cancel due to illness, risk, or restriction we will make a full refund of your workshop payment minus a $50 processing fee. If we decide that it is not possible to safely operate and cancel or postpone a workshop, you will receive a full refund.
